In rare cases, the presence of too much scar tissue will simply make noticeable revisions too difficult to justify, but these represent a very small percentage of the cases we see.

Surgery & Recovery

To accomplish this, it is necessary to reshape the supporting cartilage and bone and redrape the skin over the reconstructed nasal structure to give the nose its new shape.

Following a secondary rhinoplasty, recovery usually takes no longer than the healing time for the first rhinoplasty. As with primary rhinoplasty, at first, some bruising and swelling will be evident following the procedure, but within a few weeks, there will be little outward indication that any surgery took place.

Just as you would have experienced with your first cosmetic nose surgery, you may notice changes for the first 6 to 8 weeks after your corrective procedure, with further refinement occurring for up to 6 to 12 months following the surgery.
